I am a currently working at the Computer Graphics and Multimedia Systems Group at University of Siegen.
Before, I was at the Visualization Research Center (VISUS) at University of Stuttgart, where I worked in the group of Daniel Weiskopf working mainly on projects related to uncertainty visualization. I obtained a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Münster, supervised by Lars Linsen. During my PhD, my research focused on the interactive visual analysis of parameter spaces and correlation structures in simulation ensembles.
In my research, I want to understand how visualization can be used to obtain a better understanding of complex and often uncertain data. I develop interactive visual analysis approaches to combine computational methods with the strength of the user. Most of my research focusses on applications to scientific data, ranging from climate science over physics to medical simulations.
